Hi Bob,
my name is Germana and I'm an italian girl. I just wanted to thank you for your site and all those WTC pictures BEFORE sept.11th. I can't exactly know how you americans felt on that day, but I suppose, and I can assure you, that our feelings, here on the other side of the ocean, were very very similar to yours.
I would be pleased if you could send me the best picture you have and with the highest resolution, because I want the Twin Towers to be on my desktop.
By the way, I'm planning to cross the ocean in the near future, so if you have any suggestions it would be highly appreaciated.
Thank you, have a nice day
Germana
I live in rural south central Pennsylvania. Your site contains such great information about the NYC and it's geography.. Your pictures and explanations were the first that put the incredible size of the WTC in both height, and number of buildings, in perspective for me. I never tire of my views on my way to work, of the mountains in our area (not very big but, nonetheless, nice mountains) so I can at least begun to understand how traumatic it must be for the skyline to be so dramatically changed forever, for all who live, see and visit NY and NJ. Thanks for providing a great site.
It seems that it's hard to find images of the twin towers.. Those towers did exist, and they existed for many years. Don't lose this stuff..

Hi Robert!
I found your website through Chris's memorial site and I have to say you've
done a wonderful job.
Even after more than three months, it's hard to believe that there are people
in the world that are capable of inflicting this kind of destuction on humanity
and our freedom.
I've never been to New York or New Jersey, but I can tell you that there are people who feel your sadness and pain, even from the other side of the globe.
In the days following September 11, I read many tributes, and watched the heroics of the emergency services workers at Ground Zero. It made me realise that the problems we face in our own day to day lives pale into insignificance when compared to what these men and women were doing, day in and day out. I wondered what I could do to show that there are people who feel your country's great loss, and to show that we are prepared to stand beside our American brothers and sisters in your time of need. I was at a loss for words, but seeing all the pictures on CNN.com, and the various other news sites, of all the firefighters and police officers, and a song I was listening to at the time, gave me my inspiration. I compiled my tributes the only real way I felt I could, through music.
I put together two slideshows, and it would be an absolute honour for me to share them with you. Feel free to add them to your memorial section if you want to.
If you're ever in Melbourne, please feel free to email me. I'd love to buy you a drink, and even though I don't have a lot of room, my couch is very comfortable! [:)]

The artist singing is Australian singer John Farnham and his band.
I also saw that you have a brother serving in the armed forces. I hope he is keeping well and safe, and that he's back with you soon.

Hello there, I visited you site and saw these pix on the twin towers. Are saying people actually jumped from the top of the tower down that heigth.
I mean generations of American will never forgive the Bush Administration, if Osama and his group are not brought to book (I mean executed with any trials).
I am in support of the war against terrorism in Afganistan and all over the world.
I hope you will do everything within your reach to let people see the terror and horrible things these bastards did to US.
Thank you for your pix, I really felt like I was there when it all happen.
Take care and take heart.

When I first heard about the terriorist attachs I was so up set. I felt so bad about the victims and the families. And just by seeing you web site brightened up my day!! Thank you so much!
